EZ Lab: startup with a great passion for “AgriOpenData”.
Ez Lab srl is an innovative Italian startup developing advanced IT solutions for Semantic Web and Open Data in Cloud. The headquarters is located in Padua, at Start Cube – Incubatore Universitario di Impresa Innovativa; but the startup has recently opened its office also in San Francisco, California.
The company was founded in 2014 as a spin-off of several research projects developed with Padua University Center for Applied Research.
It collaborates with the Faculty of Engineering of Padua University and CURA (University Consortium of Applied Research) on software research and development projects.
In 2014 it won the #pmiCloud award promoted by Veneto Region at SMAU.
AgriOpenData
Ez Lab has developed AgriOpenData, online platform for optimizing the agri-food sector. The software aims at supporting farmers and agronomists in the proper management of herbicide and fertilizer treatments, through the collection and use of Open Data. These are directly integrated with the information processed during field activities.
AgriOpenData reduces cost and time of information management, thanks to its advanced technology applied to traceability and certification of agricultural products. The objective is to enhance quality production and, at the same time, to guarantee safety and total transparency for the entire food chain.
